>my dream is to browse through a record store not only by genre, or by artists in alphabetical order, but also by label. i tend to trust some record labels more than others, and i feel categorising by that criteria enables a different kind of music listener discovery. same thing goes for supporting particular publishers for books. i know this may only be a fantasy (just as if we could browse the supermarket by corporation, with proctor + gamble on one end and stonyfield on the other), but it can get overwhelming searching through artists by name all the time, especially if you’re not familiar with their work.

yay for forced exposure. now if only there were a brick + mortar music store that would dare to organise themselves this way as well…
